At CRY, we offer all young, apparently healthy individuals the opportunity to be screened. The screening programme is not just biased to people who play sport. I believe that most young people do exert themselves to some extent or not, I don’t know of many young people who will not run up and down stairs or run for a bus. So deaths in sport or deaths in young people are not just confined to sprinting at high level on the football pitch, they may occur just jogging across the park. So we have no issues with any young individual coming to us requesting screening, no matter whether they are top sportsmen or playing minimal sport or perform minimal exercise.
